JMIGUEL Commitment to Protect Edition Integrity

Our limited-edition artworks represent a dedication to exclusivity and artistic integrity. The edition number indicates the total prints produced across all physical sizes. For instance, a limited-edition numbered 200 means that the photograph will only be produced a total of 200 times, regardless of size—whether it's 40in, 60in, 72in, or any other available dimension. This ensures that each size variation maintains its exclusivity within the overall edition count. Once these 200 prints are sold, the edition will be permanently closed, guaranteeing the rarity and value of your chosen artwork.

The JMIGUEL Fine Art Image Integrity Program was meticulously crafted to guarantee the authenticity and security of every Limited Edition and Artist Proof, significantly reducing the risk of forgery or duplication. A Certificate of Authenticity will be mailad to you , with the edition number and signature.

Artist Proofs

With each standard image release, only 26-31 numbered and signed Artist Proofs are made available. These editions are regarded as personal to the artist and therefore highly sought after by collectors.

An artist’s proof is a term used in printmaking to describe a limited number of prints that are made outside of the regular numbered edition of a print. Artist’s proofs are printed and are used as a way for the artist to make final adjustments to the image or to experiment with different colour combinations.

In recent years, the term “artist’s proof” has been used more broadly to refer to any print that is not part of the numbered edition, including prints that are made after the edition has been completed or prints that are made outside of the traditional printmaking process. Artist’s proofs are an important aspect of printmaking and provide an opportunity for artists to experiment and refine their work before and even after the edition.

Prints might also be annotated with the initials E.A. which stands for Épreuve d’Artiste, Artist’s Proof in French.
