Chasing Fire

As the sun began its descent, the sky ignited with color—blazing reds, molten oranges, and streaks of gold that turned the heavens into fire. It wasn’t just a sunset; it was a spectacle, as if the sky itself had caught flame. From the edge of the water, everything seemed to pause in reverence.

Far in the distance, a solitary sailboat hovered just beneath the burning clouds, silhouetted and still, like a dream caught between day and night. It didn’t sail so much as float in place—part of the scene, not just within it. Below, the sea was dark, nearly black, but a molten ribbon of sunlight cut through it like a path to another world.

Right in that golden path, a small boat rocked gently—three fishermen silhouetted against the blaze. They weren’t just casting lines; they were suspended in something timeless. As if they’d rowed straight into the firelight to pull stories from the water itself.

There was a silence to the scene—loud in its intensity, yet soft in its peace. It was a moment where earth, water, and sky met in harmony, and I had the privilege of capturing it.
