Family of Four: Winter’s Quiet Embrace

The snow had just begun its slow descent, soft and weightless, turning the air into a quiet hush. The world was losing color by the minute, hills of distant trees slowly fading into a veil of white and mist. Yet in the foreground—clear, unwavering—stood four trees, aligned as if drawn together by some unseen thread.

The tallest stood with quiet strength, its limbs outstretched as though shielding the others. Beside it, a slightly smaller tree, sturdy and close. Then a smaller one, youthful, its branches thinner, reaching upward. Finally, the smallest—fragile and new—stood nestled at the end. A perfect sequence. Like a family. Like love made visible in nature’s simplest form.

They stood still as the snow began to settle on their branches, each flake a quiet witness to the bond between them. In the cold of winter, they radiated warmth—not of heat, but of presence, of closeness, of belonging. As the landscape behind them faded into white, the four remained clear, grounded, together.
