Reflections of Autumn: The Maroon Bells

Beneath the golden hush of an autumn sky, the Maroon Bells rise in quiet splendor, their iconic twin peaks brushed with the season’s first kiss of snow. I found myself at the river’s edge, where the world seemed to pause—no wind, no chatter, just the gentle current weaving through a canvas of turning leaves.

From this low vantage point, close to the water, the Bells mirrored themselves in the rippling surface—majestic and fragile all at once. The fiery aspens along the banks flared in oranges and golds, their brilliance softened by the cool blues of the sky and the silver-gray stone of the peaks above.

It’s a place that commands reverence. I framed this photograph not just as a landscape, but as a moment—a fleeting harmony between earth, water, and sky. Nature was both the artist and the subject, and I was simply the witness, grateful to capture this quiet symphony of fall.
