Worn by the Waves

This photo was taken on a golden-sand beach where a cluster of short, weathered tree stumps emerges from the shoreline. These stumps, scattered across the sand, have clearly been shaped over time by the ocean. Constant waves coming in and out have smoothed and worn them down, leaving behind rounded tops and textured surfaces.

They almost look like fossils—remnants of something that once stood tall but has since been slowly broken down by nature. I shot this during low tide, when more of the stumps were visible, and the wet sand reflected just enough light to highlight their worn details.

This image is a quiet study of time and change—how even strong things, like trees, eventually yield to the rhythms of the sea.
